Course description
The ITIL® Foundation (Version 5) course will introduce you to the fundamental principles of modern IT service management, digital products and value streams. You will gain an overview of how ITIL helps organizations better design, deliver, support and continuously improve services so that they bring real value to customers and the business.
Compared to
ITIL 4, the new version places greater emphasis on digital products and services, artificial intelligence, value stream management, data-driven decision-making and connecting IT with the business. Instead of just memorizing concepts, the course focuses on understanding the context, practical application of ITIL principles and preparation for the certification exam.
The teaching combines theory, practical examples and preparation for the exam. Thanks to this, you will not only gain the necessary knowledge for certification, but also a clearer idea of how ITIL can be used in a real organizational environment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is ITIL?
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a globally recognized set of best practices and standards for IT service management (ITSM). Its main goal is to align IT services with business needs and objectives.
What are the main benefits of ITIL?
ITIL aligns IT services with business needs — it cuts costs, boosts system reliability, and improves user satisfaction. It creates a common language between IT and the business, improves service quality, and makes it possible to measure the value services deliver.
How does ITIL differ from other methodologies?
ITIL governs IT services,
COBIT is a framework for IT governance and risk management, and
PRINCE2 governs projects.
ITSM is the broader discipline, and ITIL is its most widely used framework. Agile and
DevOps speed up development and the rollout of changes, while ITIL ensures they run in a standardized way — these approaches complement each other rather than compete.
What's the difference between ITIL 4 and ITIL 5?
ITIL 5 is an evolution of the
ITIL 4 framework that preserves its core principles while expanding the methodology to cover digital product and service management, support for AI adoption, and a stronger emphasis on practical application in modern IT organizations. Compared to ITIL 4, it places greater weight on the full product and service lifecycle, their business value, and effective management within Agile, DevOps, and AI environments.
