An enterprise architecture architect (EA) designs the structure of IT systems, processes and infrastructure to meet the strategic goals of the organization - connecting business needs with technical solutions and ensuring that individual systems and solutions fit together as a whole, not as isolated islands. It is a senior and financially very interesting role: in the Czech Republic, the salary of an architect ranges from approximately CZK 90,000–120,000 for less experienced positions to CZK 150,000–220,000 and higher for experienced enterprise architects with TOGAF certification. The key to this role is a combination of strategic thinking, knowledge of architectural frameworks and the ability to clearly document and visualize these concepts.
