? Do I need PRINCE2 Foundation before taking PRINCE2 Practitioner?

Not necessarily – you need to hold a PRINCE2 Foundation certification (in any version), or alternatively an IPMA certification, CAPM or PMP. However, the most common path is through PRINCE2 Foundation, as the Practitioner course builds directly on its content.

? How does PRINCE2 Practitioner differ from PMP or advanced IPMA certifications?

While PMP and IPMA assess broader project management knowledge and experience, PRINCE2 Practitioner tests your ability to apply and tailor the specific PRINCE2 method to a real project scenario. The exam therefore works with a comprehensive case study rather than focusing only on isolated questions.
