AI is changing how security teams work and how attackers operate. CompTIA SecAI+ is an expansion certification that helps you keep pace by building on the cybersecurity knowledge you already have, whether from certifications like Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, or SecurityX or from equivalent experience. 

SecAI+ helps you build practical AI security and automation skills on top of your existing expertise, so you can secure AI deployments, use AI‑assisted security tools with confidence, and stay ready for the next step in your cybersecurity career.

3–4 years in IT, inclusive of 2+ years hands-on cybersecurity; Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, or equivalent recommended.

You should consider SecAI+ if you already work in cybersecurity—such as a security analyst, SOC analyst, penetration tester, cloud engineer, DevSecOps engineer or risk and compliance professional—and you hold a core cybersecurity certification like Security+, CySA+, PenTest+ or SecurityX, or have equivalent hands-on experience.

4. Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) for AI

• Regulatory and compliance considerations

• The exam CompTIA SecAI+ fee is not included in the price of the course.
• The exam includes a combination of multiple-choice questions, drag-and-drop activities, and performance-based items. The multiple-choice questions are single- and multiple-response. The performance-based items test your ability to solve problems in a simulated environment.
• There is maximum of 60 questions.
• Duration: 60 minutes
• A passing score of 600 out of 900 is required to pass the exam.
• The SecAI+ certification is valid for 3 years.
