CompTIA SecAI+ is an expansion certification that helps you keep pace by building on the cybersecurity knowledge you already have, whether from certifications like Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, or SecurityX or from equivalent experience. 

SecAI+ helps you build practical AI security and automation skills on top of your existing expertise, so you can secure AI deployments, use AI‑assisted security tools with confidence, and stay ready for the next step in your cybersecurity career.

3–4 years in IT, inclusive of 2+ years hands-on cybersecurity; Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, or equivalent recommended.

You should consider SecAI+ if you already work in cybersecurity—such as a security analyst, SOC analyst, penetration tester, cloud engineer, DevSecOps engineer or risk and compliance professional—and you hold a core cybersecurity certification like Security+, CySA+, PenTest+ or SecurityX, or have equivalent hands-on experience.
