It is the first step anyone who wants to start a career in cybersecurity should take—a solid foundation on which to build.
How the CompTIA exam is structured
You can take the CompTIA certification exam either online or in person.
- Online testing offers you the convenience and flexibility to take the exam from anywhere—from a quiet, undisturbed, and secure location, at a time that suits you. You will be monitored by an online proctor throughout the exam. You must be alone in the room. The proctor may ask you to show them the entire room, including the space under your desk and your surroundings. No one is allowed to enter the room during the exam, otherwise the exam will be terminated as invalid. We recommend locking yourself in the room.
- CompTIA Personal Testing gives you the option to take the exam at one of thousands of Pearson VUE testing centers worldwide. We have this center at Pumped. It is open Monday through Friday, with the last test starting around 2 p.m.
