Course description

CompTIA advanced security practitioner (CASP+) was rebranded to SecurityX with the release of the V5 exam. The name change highlights the advanced, or “Xpert,” level certifications in the CompTIA portfolio.
The official CompTIA SecurityX course will provide advanced information security principles to help combat threats. Students will learn to analyze and apply advanced security concepts, principles, and implementations that contribute to enterprise-level cybersecurity.

Required knowledge

Students seeking SecurityX certification should have at least 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least five years of hands-on technical security experience including identity and access management, cryptographic concepts, computer networking and enterprise security technologies.

Certification

The exam CompTIA SecurityX fee is not included in the price of the course.
The exam includes a combination of multiple-choice questions, drag-and-drop activities, and performance-based items. The multiple-choice questions are single- and multiple-response. The performance-based items test your ability to solve problems in a simulated environment.
There is maximum of 90 questions.
Recommended experience: minimum of 10 years of general hands-on IT experience, including 5 years of hands-on security, with Network+, Security+, CySA+, Cloud+, and PenTest+ or equivalent knowledge
The SecurityX certification is valid for 3 years.
