Frequently Asked Questions
What is Microsoft 365 and which applications does it include?
Microsoft 365 is a cloud platform for productivity and collaboration that includes classic applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as tools for communication and teamwork — Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Planner, OneNote, Forms, and Stream. Everything is connected, so you can easily share documents, communicate in real time, and manage tasks all in one place.
What's the difference between Microsoft 365 and Office 365?
Basically none — Office 365 was the original name of the package, focused mainly on office applications and cloud services. In 2020, Microsoft renamed it Microsoft 365, which, alongside the Office apps, also includes additional services for device management, security, collaboration, and productivity.
In everyday practice, the name Microsoft 365 is used today.
Do I need to know the individual M365 applications before the course?
No, the course is designed even for participants with no prior knowledge or experience — the level is marked as basic. It's suitable both for complete beginners and for technical support staff who want to deepen their overview across the applications.
What's the difference between OneDrive and SharePoint?
OneDrive is your personal cloud storage. It's used to store your own files, which you can share with others as needed.
SharePoint is a team collaboration space. It lets you store and jointly manage documents, create intranet sites, share information, and control access for team members or the whole organization.
OneDrive = my files
SharePoint = team and company documents
