AB-410 - Build intelligent applications

This three-day course teaches you how to design and build intelligent applications on the Microsoft Power Platform using artificial intelligence, copilots, and agents to solve real business problems. You'll learn how Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, and AI capabilities work together to create solutions that improve productivity, decision-making, and user experience. The course is 50–60% hands-on exercises and, alongside application development itself, places strong emphasis on governance and responsible AI use.

This course is a follow-on and modernized continuation of the retired PL-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant) course. Rather than traditional low-code solution building, AB-410 focuses on AI-first application development with Copilot and agents.

• Basic knowledge of business processes or application development concepts
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform fundamentals is helpful but not required
• No prior experience with AI, copilots, or agents is required
• For the exam itself, Microsoft recommends (but does not require) familiarity with Copilot in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse, as well as awareness of building agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio

Module 1 – Get Started with AI-First Solutions in Microsoft Power Platform
Designing AI-first solutions, recommending Power Platform components, creating prompts for generative AI, turning business ideas into solutions using the Plans feature.

Module 2 – Data Model in Microsoft Dataverse
Creating tables and columns, table relationships, security roles and teams, business rules for consistent logic across applications.

Module 3 – Intelligent Applications and Portals in Microsoft Power Apps
Canvas apps (creation, customization, publishing, sharing), model-driven apps (forms, charts, dashboards), and Power Pages (design studio, security, AI features and agents).

Module 4 – Automate and Extend Solutions with AI in Power Automate
Cloud flows, Dataverse triggers and actions, approval processes and business process flows, creating AI Builder prompts on top of custom data in Dataverse.
